We are packed and our suitcases are a little heavier than normal. We decided to take some "North Carolina" gifts to the friends we have in Saint Aignan. We bought nice dish towels with our state bird on them (Cardinal) and gourmet chocolate bars. For our good friends, Claire and Douglas, we have a variety of gifts. Some Tweet Revenge stuff, some coasters with funny sayings on them, some sassy cocktail napkins and black eyed peas! Douglas has never eaten black eyed peas so it will be a first for him. Hope everyone will like their little gifts.
We arrive in Paris tomorrow morning around 8:00. We'll make our way through Customs and then take the long walk to the train station located in the airport. We will take the train at 10:15 and arrive at a station called St. Pierre des Corps at about Noon. Douglas and Claire kindly offered to pick us up there and we are grateful. He said we could stop to do some grocery shopping on the way to Saint Aignan. That is great so that tomorrow morning we don't have to rush right out to get food and drink.
David said I have to close this down now and do whatever last minute things we have left to do. If I'm not too tired tomorrow, I'll post from La Boulangerie where we will not only be pretending to be French, we'll be pretending we own the house. We love it there so much and, Rachael, if you are reading this, thank you very, very much!!!
Julia and David, you are very welcome it is a beautiful but quiet time for tourism so better you are there enjoying it than our little bakery being lonely! I am grateful you can turn the heaters on and move some air around. Give Douglas and Claire, Nathalie and Yves and Christina and Claude all our love and make sure you help keep the local vigneron busy.
